Anti-terrorism court grants bail to 250 PTI workers in protest cases

On Friday, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted bail to 250 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) involved in 13 cases related to the November 26 protest. The court set bail at Rs 5,000 surety bonds for each accused, ordering their immediate release.
Among the 250 granted bail, 18 individuals were booked by the Bani Gala Police Station, while 43 accused were registered under cases by the Kohsar Police Station. Nine accused, facing charges from Shazad Town Police Station, and 17 accused, booked by Noon Police Station, also received bail, and their release was ordered.
The court rejected the bail applications of one individual from the Bani Gala case and another from the Shazad Town case.
In the case filed by the Aabpara Police Station, 25 accused were denied bail, but 70 others were granted release. The ATC also approved bail for 30 individuals involved in cases registered by the I-9 Police Station and 13 accused from the Margalla Police Station. However, the bail applications of two accused in these cases were rejected.
In cases registered by the Secretariat Police Station, bail was denied to 120 accused, while 10 others were granted bail. Furthermore, 25 accused booked by Sihala Police Station and 30 accused in a case registered by Shams Colony Police Station were also granted bail.
